The Brown-Pusey House is a historic house in Elizabethtown KY. Built in 1825, the house became a boarding house during the Civil War, with guests including Gen. George Custer and his wife; Soprano Jenny Lind, and Confederate Raider John Hunt Morgan. The House is on the National Register of Historic Places and offers the very popular Tavern in the Garden in the summer. Tavern offers the community a chance to hear live music for free, while enjoying beer, wine and food truck offerings. The House is also a very popular location for weddings and other events, fulfilling its mission as "the place to bring the community together."
