The mission of Marafiki Center is to create opportunities for cross-cultural connection. We build a bridge of mutual understanding through education, events, and advocating for improved representation of the African and Swahili-speaking communities in Lexington, Kentucky.

Our programs: School Swahili Clubs, AfroLex Connect Youth Development, AfroLex Conference, Parent Engagement Workshops, Summer Swahili Camp, Shule Fest Back to School Resource Fair, and the Annual Swahili Day Cultural Festival.
