Kentucky Nonprofit Network is pleased to bring the expertise of Laura van Dernoot Lipsky to Kentucky to help us develop strategies for sustaining ourselves and each other. Laura, the founder and director of The Trauma Stewardship Institute and author of Trauma Stewardship and The Age of Overwhelm, is widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of trauma exposure. Much of her work is being invited to assist in the aftermath of community catastrophes - whether they are fatal storms or mass shootings. Simultaneously, she has long been active in community organizing and movements for social and environmental justice. Whether your overwhelm is related to the devastation facing Kentuckians after the tornado, your work, the pandemic, your personal life, systematic oppression or all of the above and more, we invite you to watch this free recording to try to make sense of it all.
