Webinar Recording: Let’s Talk Equity: Conversations on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for Nonprofit Leaders - Serving Kentuckians with Disabilities

Tuesday, January 1, 2030

Description

Call Recording: Join your nonprofit colleagues for discussions on the diversity, intersectionality, and inclusion issues facing the sector. These monthly calls are an important opportunity to connect with your colleagues facing similar challenges and opportunities, learn from one another's experiences, share ideas and best practices, and more.

The July 1 call set the context of equity, disparities, and intersectionality for Kentuckians with disabilities when offered programs, services, or work and volunteer opportunities by nonprofit organizations.  Presenters Dr. Sheila A. Schuster and Katie Bentley provided descriptions and data on various disabilities and the barriers faced by Kentuckians living with them. Participants were introduced to the United 874K Disabilities Coalition – now 20 years old – as well as to resources for accommodating and supporting individuals with disabilities.
