So You Have an Organizational North Star - Now What?
Many strategic plans get left on the shelf to collect dust. Discover how to avoid this pitfall by building an execution and evaluation plan into your process and explore how to manage the organizational change that comes with a new strategic direction.
You have organizational alignment on your mission and vision and you've consulted with your stakeholders and strategic direction. Now what? This session will present a process to innovate, develop and prioritize strategic goals with your board and key staff. From there we will also discuss how to write good objectives to make your priorities actionable and measurable. After completing this session, you will know how to write strategic goals and objectives for your organization and have ideas about how to manage change and align your resources so you can reach your goals. Most importantly, you will know how to keep your plan a living document and how to track progress on your goals.
- Know what a strategic priority is and how to write one
- Have a process to discover strategic priorities (aka. "goals") for your organization
- Be able to write SMART objectives as way to measure progress towards strategic priorities
- Have ideas and tools to keep your strategic plan alive
- Have the resources, templates, and processes to complete, execute and evaluate your strategic plan
