On the July 13 Recording: Proactive planning is the key to creating a safe workplace for your employees and clients. The risks of hostile workplace behavior can keep you up at night and it can be easy to pretend it can never happen at your nonprofit, but when hostile workplace behavior goes unchecked, it can have a wide-ranging impact. Bullying, harassment, intimidation, and verbal and physical aggression are just a few examples of concerning behaviors that have negative impacts on organizations. These behaviors are often precursors to serious physical violence. In addition to the risk of violence, lost productivity, employee turnover, reputational damage, and lawsuits are other potential consequences of failing to proactively create a safe workplace.
