Programming Peer Huddle

Exclusive KNN Member Benefit 



KNN offers free quarterly Programming Peer Huddles for member organizations’ staff and board members to reimagine their nonprofit's programs and services to ensure equity and inclusivity. Our facilitator Ashley Oolman of Allied Folk will lead us in collective solution building and implementation of the tools and approaches needed to reimagine this critical aspect of your organization's mission. These calls are designed to help your nonprofit examine each layer of programming through a new equity and inclusivity lens. Seven Huddle calls will help you re-discover each aspect of your organization's programs and services, as well as provide you with guidance on steps for taking action:
  • nonprofit culture barriers and social norms
  • recruitment and engagement
  • partnering and outreach
  • incorporating data and leadership decision making
  • approaches and customer service interactions
  • values based goals and evaluation
  • sustainability and resistance
The Programming Huddle meets once each quarter, on the last Wednesday of the month, from 12:30-2:00pm ET (dates below).

On the August huddle: “Emboldening Engagement” - In order to disrupt status quo services from the inside out, nonprofits must shift from searching for a “culture fit” to finding “culture contributors” on their staff and volunteer teams. This Huddle meeting is focused on values-based approaches to recruitment, hiring, engagement, and retention of staff and volunteers. Join us as we practice collective solution building, and create new paths forward in your organization’s work.

Participation in the Programming Peer Huddle is free and available exclusively for KNN members – join in the conversation! If you are a KNN member and need assistance logging in to register, email us. 


HUDDLE COMMITMENT/EXPECTATIONS: 

  • By joining the Programming Peer Huddle, you are making a commitment to be an active participant in Huddle meetings.  As each Huddle builds on previous Huddle meetings, we ask you to plan to join us every quarter, if possible (though not required). You are invited to join at any time!
  • We ask that you participate in the Huddle with an openness to different perspectives, valuing a space for honest discussions where all opinions are honored. Confidentiality is expected of all Huddle participants.
