Culture Clash: Confronting Systems, Social Norms, and Power

Friday, December 9, 2022 (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM) (EST)

Confront ethics and organizational impact as we lean into discomfort, and challenge the very social fabric that upholds the status quo in the nonprofit sector. Together we will examine critical components of nonprofit culture change, what hinders organizational progress, and strategies for addressing common pain points in working through organizational power imbalances. Participants will leave with a deeper perspective on:

  • Recognizing the Layers of the Nonprofit Ecosystem
  • Uprooting Harmful Socialized Patterns
  • Leveraging Organizational Privilege and Power

This training is open to all and may hold particular relevance for people leading and participating in organizational change processes, such as strategic planning, equity inventories of budgeting processes, funder relationships, vendor engagement, community relations, program development, and more.

Offered by our partner, Minnesota Council of Nonprofits.
