Let’s Talk Equity Recording (October 1, 2026): Addressing Behavioral Health Equity Through Meaningful Community Engagement
10/1/2026
Join your nonprofit colleagues for discussions on issues impacting the sector's ability to engage, serve, and welcome all. These monthly calls are an important opportunity to connect with your colleagues facing similar challenges and opportunities, learn from one another's experiences, share ideas and best practices, and more.
On our October 1 call: Nonprofits serving people with behavioral health needs sit at the intersection of persistent care inequities and the greatest opportunity to address them. The communities they serve hold the deepest knowledge of what meaningful support looks like, and as trusted community partners, nonprofits are uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between systems and the people most impacted. But that only happens when engagement is intentional, inclusive, and meaningful.
This session grounds nonprofit leaders in what meaningful community engagement requires and offers practical tools for centering the voices of people with lived experience of behavioral health needs.
Participants leave with:
- A clear understanding of what community engagement truly means and why it matters
- Clarity on the difference between representation and inclusion
- Familiarity with the Community Engagement Spectrum and an honest look at where their work currently sits
- Practical strategies for designing engagement that genuinely informs decisions
