Virtual accessibility is critical for the sustainability of nonprofits in ensuring inclusion for everyone. This means incorporating accessibility and inclusion strategies into the foundation of every nonprofit's model.

This virtual workshop, for all nonprofit staff and volunteers, will not only include the why behind access and inclusion for the disability community but real life examples of how to implement these important building blocks into your nonprofit business structure. This training will specifically address how to make your nonprofit's virtual experiences more accessible, especially during this time of COVID.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

You will leave knowing:

  • How to incorporate access and inclusion into the building blocks of your nonprofit
  • How to incorporate accessibility and inclusion into virtual experiences

This webinar will be recorded and the recording will be available to all registered participants. Participants who are unable to attend will still have access to all course materials.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Kyann Flint, the Director of Accessibility at Wandke Consulting, is a passionate advocate for the disability community. Beyond her roles at Wandke Consulting, Kyann is the Executive Director of two non-profits with the mission of empowering the disability community, AbiliTrek and Ms. Wheelchair Washington of America. Kyann has spoken on a plethora of disability-related topics to a diverse range of audiences, most notably she was a disability expert for KIRO7, has taught accessibility and inclusion to lawyers to fulfill Continuing Legal Education credits as well as to political and hospitality personnel. She has also spoken to all age levels from primary to post-secondary students as well as Educators and Administrators. Kyann held the title of Ms. Wheelchair Washington 2017 and placed 2nd runner-up at Ms. Wheelchair America 2018 where she received the Emerging Leader Award. As a person with a disability, Kyann lives life with the motto of "Defying the Defined Disability"; she strives to educate society on how social barriers, like ignorance and stereotypes, limit the disability community. Kyann is also a lover of coffee and travel.
