Town Hall Meeting Recording: Opioid Settlement Funding for Kentucky Nonprofits (October 23, 2025)

Tuesday, January 1, 2030

Description

KNN hosts Virtual Town Hall Meetings via Zoom every other week to connect regularly with nonprofits across Kentucky to provide timely information and resources. Join us at 10:30am ET every other Thursday.

On the October 23 Recording: As part of the national opioid settlement fund, Kentucky has received more than $1 billion. Opioid settlement funds are focused on providing support for prevention, intervention, and treatment. Half of these funds are being distributed via a state grant program while the other half are distributed via local county and city governments. In this recording, Jessie Halladay, Deputy Director of the Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission, and Lauren Carr, Opioid Settlement Advisor at Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo), provide details on the state grant application updates, including deadlines, tips, and expectations, as well as transparency efforts and potential future funding opportunities. They also share updates on local distribution, highlight best practices, and point to resources for nonprofits to engage as on-the-ground experts in their communities. Watch this recording to get the latest information and explore how your organization can connect with state and local funding opportunities.
